Congressional Offices Getting 'Our Bodies, Ourselves'

If any member of Congress needs a primer on ladies' bodies, they're in luck: each office will be getting a copy of the seminal women's health book, Our Bodies, Ourselves.

Women's groups are sending each office a copy of the book in an effort to educate lawmakers on women's health and sexuality issues. The book covers everything from pregnancy to menopause.

Washington Examiner reports on the effort, organized by groups such as the National Research Center for Women & Families and Every Mother Counts:

Cynthia Pearson of the National Women's Health Network pointed out that disagreement over abortion is nothing new, but science is now being abused to make arguments. "What seems to be going on somewhat right now," she said, "is public figures' willingness to make statements of fact that are so badly wrong."
