Today's Influence Ads: Fox, MSNBC Political Coverage

Fox News has a new ad proclaiming the network as offering "America's only fair and balanced" political coverage," while MSNBC has a new ad of its own promoting its coverage of the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Duke Energy
's new ad publicizes the company's involvement in the DNC (which has been criticized by some groups). And the American Petroleum Institute has a new ad continuing its "Vote 4 Energy" campaign, which pushes for policy that promotes development of domestic energy sources.

Hospital for Special Surgery and Novo Nordisk also have new ads today.

Those with continuing ads, per Kantar Media's Washington Eye, include: American Gas Association, C-SPAN, CH2MHILL, Chevron, General Motors, Generic Pharmaceutical Association, Levine Cancer Institute, Microsoft and Nuclear Energy Institute.
