Today's Influence Ads: Chevron On Shale Gas

Chevron's new ad pushes for hydraulic fracturing, claiming the company has learned how to "reach natural gas and extract it, while protecting the environment around it."

The Advanced Energy Economic Institute has a new ad out today pushing for diversifying energy production in the United States as a means of job creation. And a new ad from the America Federation of Teachers claims the group is devoted to "solution-driven unionism" on issues such as pensions and job growth.

Those with continuing ads, per Kantar Media's Washington Eye, include: America's Natural Gas Alliance, American Gas Association, American Petroleum Institute, General Motors, Generic Pharmaceutical Association, Microsoft, MSNBC, National Electrical Contractors Association, National Restaurant Association, United Technologies and Wells Fargo.
