Today's Influence Ads: API Pushing Energy As Campaign Issue

The American Petroleum Institute's new ad continues the organization's Vote4Energy campaign, which encourages voters to make domestic energy a campaign issue.

Guolong Carbon Fund has a new ad today encouraging people to reduce their carbon footprint, plant trees and conserve water. It also calls for boosting "carbon forestry enlargement" in western China.

And the United Soybean Board's new ad claims that boosting biodiesel production can help America gain energy independence.

Those with continuing ads, per Kantar Media's Washington Eye, include: The American Cancer Society, American Petroleum Institute, Association of American Railroads, Boeing, BP, Chevron, Fluor Corporation, Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance, Molina Healthcare, Nuclear Energy Institute, Society for Human Resource Management and WETA.
