News Roundup: Durbin Predicts GOP-Controlled House

Welcome back to the Alley, folks. Here's what we're reading this morning:

You know that Mitt Romney fundraising video? President Jimmy Carter's grandson helped leak it, reports New York Magazine.

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., predicts that Republicans will maintain control of the House, although by a smaller margin than it currently does, reports the Daily Herald.

Rep. Paul Ryan proposed automatic defense cuts in his 2010 budget plan, although they would have been limited to 1 percent of any agency's budget, reports The Washington Post.

And young illegal immigrants allowed to remain in the U.S. under President Barack Obama's new deferred-deportation policy have limited coverage under the health care reform law. The New York Times reports the White House quietly disclosed the policy last month, which prevents such immigrants from using government subsidies to purchase private health insurance.
