It's Official: The House Will Recess Next Week

It's official, the House plans to recess next Friday and return Nov. 13.

From House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's office:

Members are advised that as a result of House--and anticipated Senate--passage of H.J.Res. 117, the Continuing Appropriations Resolution 2013, votes are no longer expected during the week of October 1. This is a change from the original House Calendar.

As a reminder, the House remains in session, as scheduled, next Wednesday, September 19, through Friday, September 21. Following September 21st, the House's next voting day will be Tuesday, November 13.
