It's early to be talking about Christmas, but not for former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.

Strickland invoked St. Nick to criticize Mitt Romney on the first night of the Democratic convention in Charlotte to uproarious applause.

"If Mitt were Santa Claus, he'd fire the reindeer and outsource the elves," Strickland said.
