Tropical Storm Isaac Postpones Delegate Receptions
California and Virginia delegates to the Republican National Convention, time to find alternate plans, because your welcome receptions have been postponed.
The California delegates' reception, originally scheduled for Monday, will be held on Tuesday. The Virginia delegates' reception, originally scheduled for Tuesday, will be combined with the Illinois delegates' reception on Wednesday afternoon.
The delays to the events come as Tropical Storm Isaac heads toward Tampa, causing event planners Purple Events and Jamestown Productions to postpone the receptions. The Camp Freddy Wounded Warrior Benefit Concert will also be postponed from Monday to Tuesday night.
