Today's Influence Ads: Exxon Mobil, American Petroleum Institute on Natural Gas

Convention hubbub has lulled for now, but the energy industry is still raring to go with a spate of new ads in today's media.

Exxon Mobil is out with a back cover spot heralding new technology that simplifies natural gas extraction, and the American Petroleum Institute continues their Vote 4 Energy campaign with an ad encouraging broad support for new energy technology.

The American Association of Railroads, CH2MHILL, Chen Guangbiao, and Covidien also have new ads out today.

Those with continuing ads include Altria, Fluor Corporation, Microsoft, United Technologies and WETA-TV, according to Kantar Media's Washington Eye.
