Pelosi's Late Night Olympic Habit

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi revealed a reason, other than legislative gridlock, that she might be running on fumes.

Pelosi was going through her talking points after the House voted down the Democratic tax propsal when a reporter asked her a question about tax rates on Olympic winners.

"I think that we have very serious matters before us," she said, "and I'm a great fan of the Olympics." Then she smiled and pointed to both her eyes. "I don't get any sleep. I stay up and watch them over and over. And when they're finished on TV, I go to the Internet."

The apparently tech-savvy representative avoided the question regarding a bill introduced by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., which would eliminate taxes on Olympic winnings.

"So it's not that I don't have the greatest respect and regard for the skill, talent and teamwork of our Olympians," Pelosi said. "But we have serious matters to deal with here."
