News Roundup: Dem Leaders Making the Rounds

Good morning and happy Friday. Let's get to those headlines.

Much like their Republican counterparts, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer are touring their members' districts in the hope of shoring up support in their effort to take back the House, The Hill writes.

Rep. Paul Ryan, the Budget Committee chairman and VP contender, turned down an offer from the Bush administration to head the Office of Management and Budget, according to what Politico calls a little-known fact that turned up in a new opposition research file. The offer, though, was reported in a 2009 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article.

A group called Jews and Christians Together is calling on Republican delegates to the Tampa convention to dump Romney as the party's nominee, Buzzfeed reports.
