First Look: Manchin Aide Heads to Commerce

Marni Goldberg has joined the Commerce Department as press secretary from West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin's office where she served the same role. She replaces Brad Carroll, who became the White House Domestic Policy Council's communications director last month. 

A Capitol Hill veteran, Goldberg has worked with former Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Rep. Gwen Moore of Wisconsin.

--Scott Campbell has been named managing director of BakerDonelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz's Washington's office. Before joining Baker Donelson in 2007, Mr. Campbell was a founder and CEO of Washington Policy and Analysis.  

--Dave Snyder is swapping one insurance trade association for another. Snyder will become the vice president of international policy at the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, leaving his post as the vice president of the American Insurance Association.
