First Look: API's Party May Feature the Romneys

The Alley got a hold of the American Petroleum Institute's RNC convention party invite. The throw down will feature the Zac Brown Band and is being hyped as "the signature party at the RNC." (Emphasis API's.) A source familiar with the shindig tells the Alley that the expected "special guests from the campaign trail" are the Romney children and maybe even Mitt and Ann themselves.

Here's the text of the invitation:

On behalf of API President and CEO Jack Gerard, Media Relations Director Eric Wohlschlegel and myself (API's Sabrina Fang), API  would like to invite you to the signature party at the RNC in Tampa on Thursday, August 30th. API's Vote4Energy.org  - Fueling The Future event will feature the amazing Zack Brown Band. We expect a huge crowd that may include some special guests from the campaign trail. It's going to be a fun night and we hope you can join the party. Please RSVP as soon as possible so that we can get your name of the guest list. Hope to see you there!

An earlier version of this article misspelled the name of the Zac Brown Band.
