BRT's New Ad: Washington Needs to Act

August 23, 2012

Business Roundtable is coming out with a new ad campaign timed to the Republican and Democratic conventions that calls for Washington to take action on the economy, the Alley has learned.

The ad depicts a hand holding a sheet of paper that says, "It's Time to Act," in red block letters with four bullet points about the economy beneath the headline. The message is addressed to Washington, from America's CEOs.

"America's CEOs have a plan for jobs and economic growth. It's a plan that believes people and our free enterprise system can win in the 21st Century economy. See our plan at," the ad reads.

The print ad will be in Tampa and Charlotte newspapers as well as Washington publications that will publish from the conventions. A radio spot will also run on local NPR and news stations, said BRT's Tita Freeman.

BRT would not disclose the amount of the ad buy.

"But it's just enough to ensure people will see and hear the ads," Freeman said.
