American Antitrust Institute Director Leaves for FTC

The American Antitrust Institute's director of legal advocacy is leaving to take a position at the Federal Trade Commission.

Richard Brunell
, who also directed AAI's amicus program, will join the FTC on Sept. 4 as a senior advisor on competition matters. He will also work on advocacy and appellate issues.

Randy Stutz, currently AAI's senior counsel and director of special projects, will fill in for Brunell as the director of the institute's amicus program.

And Sandeep Vaheesan, a past research fellow at AAI, will join as a special counsel and will work with Stutz on the amicus program.
