Rep. Jim Himes of Connecticut is a self-proclaimed bike nerd. And today he tweeted how many calories he's burned while riding bikes provided by D.C.'s Capital Bikeshare program:


Capital Bikeshare calculates calories burned and carbon offsets for its users.

Himes' declaration of love for bikeshare earned him a tweet back:
