Center for Science and Democracy Has New Director

The Union of Concerned Scientists has named Andrew Roseberg to head its new Center for Science and Democracy, the group said on Thursday.

"The new Center is working to restore the role science plays in informing public policy decisions, dispel misinformation and help scientists communicate their work to policymakers and the public," the group said in a statement.

Rosenberg served as the Northeast regional administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Marine Fisheries Service, according to the statement.
