Chris Frates On Power, People And Influence From Capitol Hill To K Street

Keystone Public Affairs Hires Senior Communications Director

Elizabeth Fassbender will take the reins of the Keystone Public Affairs communications shop as its new senior communications director.

Fassbender comes from a 3-year stint at Strategic Marketing Innovations, where worked with defense, energy and transportation clients and led the firm's new media strategy, according to a statement.

"As policymakers debate issues from the Keystone XL pipeline and hydraulic fracturing to transportation funding and technology deployment, businesses and trade associations must be able to deliver a strong and effective message if they want to influence legislative and regulatory decisions in today's rapidly changing media environment," KPA Founder and CEO Brian Sowa wrote in a statement. "Elizabeth brings a fresh perspective, a strong background in new media and government relations, and the ability to help clients tell their story more effectively to achieve their policy and business goals."
