About 400 internal medicine doctors and medical students are headed to the Hill Thursday for meetings with lawmakers and their staffs as part of the American College of Physicians Services Leadership Day. They will be highlighting how budget cuts and sequestration could hurt some health programs and pushing ACP's entitlement reforms. They will also be advocating for the Medicare Physician Payment Innovation Act, which ACP says will reform the payment model, and a bill that would create a National Health Court Pilot Program that could change how malpractice claims are handled.
