How IFA Is Responding to Court's Health Care Ruling

How do franchise owners, operators, and executives feel about the Supreme Court's health care decision? According to one metric, not too favorably.

Nearly 2,200 franchise owners, operators, and executives took part in a tele-townhall on Friday conducted by the International Franchise Association and Broadnet. Asked if they are more or less likely to hire workers based on how the Court ruled, of the 200 respondents, 85 percent said they would be less likely to hire. Fifteen percent said they would be more likely to hire in light of the ruling.

Arguing that the measure is unduly burdensome, IFA says it plans a legislative effort to repeal the law in conjunction with suggestions on how to ease what the group says are regulatory burdens.
