First Look at the New Influence Alley

Welcome to the new Influence Alley, the expanded digital home for all of National Journal's best reporting and analysis from Capitol Hill and K Street. The amped up Alley will chronicle the power, people and leaders that make Congress run and still deliver the lobbying and public affairs intelligence you've come to depend on.

More than the just a read out of who said what, we'll dive behind the scenes to help explain the history, personalities and politics that drive congressional and lobbying action. We'll officially launch the site next month, but we're inviting you to take an early look around.

The new site is the place where the lobbying and congressional players of today, and leaders of tomorrow, can weigh in on who's up and who's down; who has power and who wants it; who just got promoted and who's been sidelined.

The new Alley's features are designed to give your voice a platform. Disagree with a story? Say so. Did we miss a key detail or take something outta context? Speak up. Or, if public speaking isn't your thing, shoot us an email and sound off. Help us capture the volume and vibe of the Beltway conversation.

Please allow me to me introduce the crack reporting duo of Mike Catalini and Elahe Izadi, who will be helping me run this new enterprise. Send us your news, tips, dish, dirt and gossip to cfrates@nationaljournal.com, mcatalini@nationaljournal.com and eizadi@nationaljournal.com. And follow us on Twitter @frates, @mikecatlini and @elaheizadi.

So while we're previewing the site, please let us know what rocks and what doesn't. We look forward to hearing from ya.
