After Staff Exodus, Ogilvy President Says Things Are 'Great'

Ogilvy Government Relations hasn't had a good couple of months. They lost a huge client when Chevron fired them. They saw Justin Daly, a well-connected financial services lobbyist, leave. And today the firm announced its chief executive and two senior vice presidents have jumped ship. The firm lost about a quarter of its staff in one day

Chief executive Drew Maloney is headed to the RNC. SVP John O'Neill has been poached by Capitol Counsel. And SVP Elena Tompkins is hanging her own shingle. The hat trick has fueled speculation that more departures are imminent, including that of  chairman Wayne Berman

But firm president Gordon Taylor tells the Alley that despite the departures everything's A-OK.

"We've got great people who are staying. We have a great book of business. We're having a great year and we're committed to taking this forward," he said.
