Today's Influence Ads: MoveOn Attacks Republicans Over Student Loans

With Congress trying to figure out how to pay for keeping student loan interest rates from doubling this summer, the liberal Political Action has a new ad out today attacking Republicans for proposing the freeze should be paid for out of a health prevention fund that was part of the health care reform law, according to a compilation of print influence ads by Kantar Media's Campaign Media Analysis Group. Democrats say that proposal targets funding for women's health, and the ad says, "Stop playing games with our future. Keep Stafford loan rates low, and do it in a way that doesn't try to pit students against women."

As today's Washington Eye shows, the American Jewish Committee, Consumers Union, ExxonMobil, the Holocaust Survivors' Foundation - USA and Revolution Solution have new ads.

Others with ads today are the American Beverage Association, American Energy Alliance, Boeing, Goldman Sachs, the Nuclear Energy Institute, Pepco, the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure and WTOP.
