Today's Influence Ads: A Push to Repeal Medical Device Tax

A group of medical device and healthcare organizations have a new ad out today calling on Congress to pass H.R. 436 and repeal the medical device tax, according to a compilation of print influence ads by Kantar Media's Campaign Media Analysis Group. "Repealing this tax will allow America's medical device developers, who support two million jobs nationwide, to invest in innovation - creating jobs and maintaining America's global leadership in new medical technology," the ad says. The ad is part of a larger advocacy campaign led by AdvaMed to stop the tax before it goes into effect in January.

As today's Washington Eye shows, Johnson Controls and the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure have new ads.

Others with ads are America's Life Insurance Industry, American Beverage Association, Goldman Sachs, Lockheed Martin, Nuclear Energy Institute, Raytheon, Transportation Construction Coalition, United Healthcare and WTOP.
