Today's Influence Ads: A Call to Ratify Law of the Sea Treaty

With the Senate Foreign Relations Committee holding a hearing on the long-stalemated Law of the Sea Treaty today, the American Sovereignty Campaign and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have a new ad today calling for the treaty to be ratified, according to a compilation of print influence ads by Kantar Media's Campaign Media Analysis Group. The treaty, the ad says, will help the U.S. economy, improve national security and lead to greater American sovereignty.

As today's Washington Eye shows, Alenia Aermacchi, Boeing, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Chevron, Economy in Crisis, Fox Business, the International Franchise Association, National Association of Iranian Academics in Britain, Raytheon/GE/Northrop Grumman/Boeing, Univision and Zurich have new ads.

Others with ads are the American Beverage Association, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, American Petroleum Institute, Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women, Lockheed Martin, National Retail Federation, Nuclear Energy Institute, Pfizer, Renewable Fuels Association, Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure, United Healthcare, United Technologies and WellPoint.
