NAPEO Members in Town for Hill Visits

May 21, 2012
More than 50 members of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations are in town for the organization's legislative conference and about 30 meetings on the Hill with lawmakers and their staffs.

NAPEO's goals are to inform lawmakers what a PEO is - it provides HR services for small and medium-sized businesses - and to advocate for the Small Business Efficiency Act. It drew up one-page documents about itself and the bill and sent them to every congressional office last week.

NAPEO spent $711,852 in lobbying in 2011, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
