Childs to Replace ITI's Hoffman at Cognizant

Stephanie Childs has been named the vice president of global public policy at Cognizant. She starts May 1 and was formerly the vice president of government affairs at Avaya.

"I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to join the Cognizant team," Childs said. "It is a company that is truly committed to thoughtful leadership, excellence and innovation in the technology industry, and I look forward to working with them to advance key policy issues in Washington and abroad."

Childs is taking over for Robert Hoffman, who is heading to the Information Technology Industry Council as its senior vice president of government relations.

"Stephanie already is one of the high tech industry's more imaginative and innovative government relations professionals, and Cognizant is a global innovation leader," Hoffman said. "She is a great fit and will be a great asset for the Cognizant team. Frankly, it's an upgrade for Cognizant."
