Kofinis, Manchin's Chief of Staff, Leaving Post

Chris Kofinis, chief of staff for Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., said on Thursday that he is leaving his post. ...

The statement also said that Kofinis, who joined Manchin's staff in 2010, would soon be returning to the private sector. ...

Kofinis, a Democratic strategist, has worked in the past as a senior aide to presidential candidates Wesley Clark and John Edwards.

Kofinis told the National Journal on Thursday, "I have been offered a position that I am considering,'' but he declined to provide further details.
