The plan is meant to provide give policymakers specific policy recommendations and a sense of urgency, said BRT spokesman Carter Wood. The business organization sent the plan, which calls for corporate tax and regulatory reform, to every member of Congress. Almost 100 member CEOs also shared the contents of the plan at their meeting with President Obama on Tuesday.
"There's a real commitment from the CEOs to use the document and its plans as a foundation for policies," Wood said.
BRT is also sending the plan to the four top Republican presidential candidates and will distribute it to House and Senate candidates after the primary season.
Wood would not say how much the ad campaign cost.
