Huntsman Sr. Donated Millions to Super PAC Supporting His Son
Jon Huntsman Sr., the father of former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, contributed $1.89 million from October to December to Our Destiny PAC, the Super PAC supporting his son, according to Federal Election Commission filings. That's more than half of what the Super PAC raised overall during that time period -- $2.68 million.
Our Destiny PAC spent about $2.55 million in the last three months of 2011, leaving it with $126,586.56 on hand. Huntsman dropped out of the race after finishing third in the New Hampshire primary.
