OWS Protests Cantor's Festivus Fundraiser

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's annual Festivus fundraiser at Lincoln Restaurant drew a feisty crowd of Occupy Wall Street protesters chanting "Hey you, millionaires pay your fair share" and "Eric Cantor you can't hide, we can see your greedy side." The protesters also booed people as they entered the restaurant.

On Twitter, CNN's Peter Morris (@petermorriscnn) reported that the protesters drove Cantor away from the event and Mother Jones' Stephanie Mencimer (@smencimer) tweeted that Cantor's appearance only lasted 7 minutes.

But a source inside the fundraiser told the Alley about a half hour ago that Cantor, and about 60 other lawmakers, were still at the event, which benefits Cantor's Every Republican Is Crucial, or ERIC, PAC.

UPDATE: Cantor attended the event from about 7:10 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., the source said.

And Cantor spokesman Brad Dayspring said of the protesters, "The airing of grievances is a longstanding Festivus tradition."
