Season of Holiday Fundraisers Commences

It's that time of the year: the holiday-themed fundraiser.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is putting on a holiday party for its Frontline candidates on Thursday and is asking for some big presents from attendees, according to the invite obtained by the Alley.

PACs have to contribute $75,000 to be a host, $35,000 to be a patron and $15,000 to be a friend. Members have to contribute $14,000 to be a host, $10,000 to be a patron and $5,000 to be a friend.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.), Democratic Caucus chair John Larson (D-Conn.), DCCC chair Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), DCCC recruitment chair Allyson Schwartz (D-Pa.), DCCC Frontline chair Jim Himes (D-Conn.), and DCCC finance chair Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) are all part of the welcoming committee.

The women staff members of the House Democratic Caucus are also putting on a fundraiser on Dec. 7 to benefit the DCCC, according to an email obtained by the Alley. Individuals are asked to contribute $250 and PACs $1,000 for that event.
