Patenaude to Lead BPC's Housing Commission

Pam Patenaude has been tapped as director of the Bipartisan Policy Center's new Housing Commission, which aims to come up with policy proposals to fix the problems in the housing market. Patenaude was most recently executive vice president of the Urban Land Institute and also served as assistant secretary for community planning and development at U.S. Housing and Urban Development.

The co-chairs of the Housing Commission include two former HUD secretaries -- Henry Cisneros and former Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) -- in addition to former Sens. Kit Bond (R-Mo.) and George Mitchell (D-Maine), who helped found the Bipartisan Policy Center.
