DNC Ads Push Obama's Jobs Plan

Ahead of the Senate's vote on a piece of the American Jobs Act that would help veterans find jobs, the Democratic National Committee has taken out ads in three key states that outline the benefits of the provision and blame Republicans for holding up the bill.

The ad, which will run on cable and network channels in markets in North Carolina, Ohio and New Mexico, features an unemployed veteran talking about his struggles trying to find a job.

A voiceover says: "The president's plan gives tax credits for hiring veterans, and it's paid for by asking millionaires and corporations to pay their fair share. But Republicans have said no. Tell Congress, we can't wait."

Obama's jobs plan includes a tax cut for companies that hire a veteran who has been unemployed for more than six month and an even larger cut if the veteran was disabled during their service.
