Romney's NYC Fundraiser

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld and Wall Street financiers Stephen Lessing and John Paulson are just a few of the more than 80 co-chairs of a New York City fundraiser Mitt Romney is hosting on Wednesday at the Grand Hyatt, according to an invite obtained by the Alley.

The breakfast reception begins at 8 a.m. with a VIP reception that requires individuals to give the maximum $2,500 contribution. Those not looking to max out can get into the general reception starting at 8:30 a.m. for $500.

With billionaires like Johnson and Paulson co-chairing the fundraiser, it will be no surprise if Democrats and their allies highlight the event as an example of Romney's close ties to the Wall Street elite -- a segment of the donor population President Obama has also courted, though not as successfully as he did in 2008.
