Firms Starting To Report 3Q Lobbying Revenue

October 19, 2011
Let the third-quarter lobbying disclosure bonanza begin! The Alley is closely following which firms made big hauls this quarter and will be updating throughout the day and tomorrow, when the reports are due.

First up: Ogilvy Government Relations reports it had $5.32 million in revenue this quarter, up from $4.27 million in the third quarter of 2010. It attributes that 25 percent increase to new accounts with the National Retail Federation, the Seneca Nation of Indians, Patient First and AdVault.

Overall, Ogilvy has $14.85 million in revenue this year, up from $13.16 million at this point in 2010. In the first and second quarters of this year, Ogilvy had $4.52 million and $4.99 million in revenue, respectively.

Also reporting is Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck with $5.74 million in revenue this quarter. That's a 6 percent increase from last quarter, but a dip from the third quarter of 2010 when it had $6.14 million in revenue.

Brownstein is also a bit off last year's overall numbers at this point, with $16.40 million in revenue in 2011 thus far compared to $17.99 million in the first three quarters of last year.

UPDATE: K&L Gates brought in $4.53 million in revenue this quarter, down from $4.75 million in the third quarter of 2010. Year to date, the law firm has pulled in $14.09 million, down from $14.58 million at this point last year.

UPDATE #2: Another group seeing drops in revenue this year is Holland & Knight. The law firm brought in $4.65 million this quarter, compared to $5.26 million in 2010's third quarter, and has seen an almost $2 million decline in its year-to-date numbers, dropping from $16.08 million in 2010 to $14.18 million so far this year.

UPDATE #3: Cassidy & Associates is reporting $4.9 million in revenue for the third quarter, bringing its year-to-date haul to $15.3 million. Those numbers are down from $5.8 million in the third quarter of 2010 and $18.7 in the first three quarters of 2010.
