Former DOJ Public Affairs Chief Heads to Vianovo

Matthew Miller, who used to head the Department of Justice's public affairs office, has jumped to the private sector, joining the consultancy firm Vianovo as a partner.

Miller also brings ties to the Hill, formerly serving as communications director for the House Democratic Caucus and for Sen. Chuck Schumer at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. He joined the DOJ at the beginning of the Obama administration.

"Matt has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the government, campaigns and the private sector, a skilled strategic planner, and an experienced communicator during calm and crisis," said Matthew Dowd, a Vianovo partner and National Journal columnist.
