Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., will seek reelection in 2014, her office told Hotline on Call Tuesday. The first-term Democrat is considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents heading into the next election cycle.

Hagan first announced her intention during an interview with a North Carolina radio station.

"I'm up for re-election in 2014, and yes I do plan to run for re-election," she said.

Hagan comfortably defeated former GOP Sen. Elizabeth Dole in 2008, but her reelection fight is expected to be more competitive.
