Boustany Holds Huge Fundraising Edge Over Landry

Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., has over triple the campaign money in the bank as freshman Rep. Jeff Landry, R-La., as the two members head toward a December 8 runoff election in the state's Third District.

Pre-runoff reports showed Boustany with $732,000 as of November 18 to Landry's $189,000. The report covers the period from October 18 to November 18.

Boustany spent over $1 million and brought in close to 887,000 during the period, while Landry spent $749,000 and brought in $300,000.

Boustany has consistently outraised and outspent Landry this year, and each has received about half a million in outside group support. Landry's has mostly come in the form of field spending from FreedomWorks, while several outside groups have run television ads in support of Boustany.

The two are slated to face off after neither managed to surpass 50 percent in the November 6 election.
