Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla., outraised Sen. Bill Nelson during the third quarter. Mack has trailed Nelson in fundraising throughout the campaign.
Mack brought in more than $2.7 million during the third quarter, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Nelson raised $2.3 million during the same time period, but the Democrat finished September with a whopping $6.5 million in the bank.
Mack's cash on hand total wasn't reported, but his pre-primary FEC filing showed less than $1.4 million in the bank as of July 25.
