DCCC Cancels TV Buy in Ohio's 7th District

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is cutting back ad time in three races where they feel their nominees are on a comfortable path to victory, as Roll Call reported this morning (Arizona's 2nd District, New Mexico's 1st District, and Florida's 26th District).

But they're also canceling an ad buy in a long-shot race: Ohio's 7th District. According to a Democrat familiar with the media buys, the DCCC is cutting their $240,000 Cleveland broadcast buy for the week of Oct. 18 to Oct. 22.

Democratic businesswoman Joyce Healy-Abrams is challenging GOP Rep. Bob Gibbs in the newly-created 7th District.
