Woman Arrested After Threatening Gowdy With Gun

A woman pointed a gun at Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., while he was parked in a church parking lot Sunday night. Gowdy was able to drive away, and was not injured, according to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.

The Herald-Journal:

Spartanburg Public Safety was notified, and the woman has been arrested, the release states. Gowdy was not injured.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and a news conference will be held Monday morning with more information about the incident.

Police plan to hold the news conference at 11:30 a.m.
