DSCC Goes Up With First Wisconsin Ad
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee launched their first television ad of the cycle in Wisconsin, a spot that hits Republican nominee Tommy Thompson on going Washington and selling his "influence and connections."
"Tommy Thompson went to Washington over a decade ago," says the ad's narrator. "And he hasn't looked back. Instead Thompson sold his influence and connections."
It goes on to hit him for "becoming a partner in a powerful Washington lobbying firm," doing work for "Wall Street and the big drug companies," and earning "millions from the special interests, at our expense."
The ad closely mirrors an ad released earlier this week by Democratic nominee Tammy Baldwin -- that ad hit the same themes of going Washington, working with drugs companies and lobbying.
Both ads end with the same clip of Thompson saying "Washington changed us."
