The Republican Convention kicks off next week, and the Sunday shows will focus on the GOP's big gathering.
Meet the Press will be in Tampa, Florida to talk to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer about the dynamics of the presidential race. DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will offer the Democratic response.
This Week will feature analysis from Republican Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a Democrat. Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Md., and former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm will join the program's roundtable discussion.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., RNC chairman Reince Priebus, Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour will be on Face the Nation discussing the convention from Tampa.
Also broadcasting from Tampa, State of the Union will host Priebus, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker .
Fox News Sunday is opening its coverage of the convention on a different note. Host Chris Wallace interviewed Mitt and Ann Romney at their vacation home in Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. The show will also feature footage from an interview Wallace conducted with the Romneys in Michigan.
CNN and MSNBC are both airing documentaries about Mitt Romney this weekend. Chuck Todd will host "Mitt Romney: The Making of a Candidate" tonight at 10 p.m. The one hour special features a one-on-one interview with Romney as well as interviews with key figures in his life.
CNN is answering with its own Romney profile called "Romney Revealed: Family, Faith, and the Road to Power." The documentary will air Sunday at 8 p.m and is hosted by CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger. Check out the interview we did with Borger about the special.
