Crossroads GPS Launching $7.2 Million Ad Buy

Crossroads GPS is launching a $7.2 million ad blitz Wednesday in five key Senate races, according to a Democratic source tracking ad buys.

The ads will air in Missouri (which holds its GOP primary Tuesday), Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, and Virginia, and will run through August 21. All are states where the group has been involved already.

The group has also already reserved $800,000 in advertising time in North Dakota for September and October.

"Karl Rove and his billionaire buddies are investing in these races because they know George Allen, Dean Heller, Denny Rehberg, Rick Berg, John Brunner, Sarah Steelman, and Todd Akin will push their special interest agenda in Washington," said Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Matt Canter in a statement.
