Steelman Hits Brunner in New Ad
Missouri Senate candidate Sarah Steelman wasn't happy with her Republican primary opponent, John Brunner, for running a negative television advertisement in June. But now Steelman has released a new commercial attacking Brunner.
The first half of Steelman's 30-second spot is devoted to criticizing Brunner, while the second half focuses on her own conservative credentials.
After noting that Brunner lives in St. Louis, the ad's announcer hits the businessman on a donation his family's Brunner Foundation made a few years back to the Humane Farming Association, an animal rights group.
"Brunner gave $10,000 to an extreme animal rights groups that was founded to give farm animals rights," says the narrator as a picture of a cow appears. "They worry about her feelings. What's next? Therapy?"
