Steelman Hits Brunner in New Ad

Brunner has defended the donation by saying that one of his children made the decision to donate to that particular charity. The candidate has been courting the rural vote, and has racked up endorsements from groups including the Missouri Pork Association the John Deere PAC, and the Missouri Soybean Association. The ad then pivots to Steelman, who says that she "led the fight to ban partial-birth abortion" in Missouri, "wrote the sanctity of marriage amendment," and concludes, "I love to hunt." While Brunner has dominated the airwaves, this is just Steelman's second television spot. The two and Rep. Todd Akin, R-Mo., will face off in an August 7 GOP primary.
