Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., posted another productive fundraising period, raising $1.8 million during the second quarter of the year. Nelson finished June with a whopping $11 million in the bank.
Nelson's sizable bank account highlights the challenge facing Rep. Connie Mack, the likely GOP nominee. Mack has not released his second quarter numbers yet, but he finished the first quarter with around $1.3 million cash on hand.
