American Commitment Hitting Heitkamp With Health Care Ad

American Commitment, a conservative-aligned 501(c)(4) nonprofit group that was formed in the spring, will launch a $115,000 ad buy beginning on Tuesday against North Dakota Democratic Senate nominee Heidi Heitkamp.

The ad has not yet been released, but American Commitment head Phil Kerpen says the subject of the spot will be health care. The issue has already begun to dominate the airwaves in the race, with American Crossroads hitting Heitkamp for supporting the federal law, and Heitkamp striking back with her own ad in which she says there is "both good and bad" in the measure.

The American Commitment ad will run through July 19.
