Scott Brown's Office Says He Will Attend GOP Convention

Despite being on the ballot with the former governor of his state, Brown will need to win over a substantial block of voters who back President Obama to win the left-leaning state, campaign strategists in both parties believe. National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn, R-Texas, dismissed attention to who attends conventions as "much ado about nothing." "People don't have that short a memory," Cornyn said. "Unless they have something more important to do, that they consider more important, it may be a case of preaching to the converted. And so [if] you're really looking for more supporters, you could use the time more effectively. But voters are pretty smart."
