Dewhurst's New Line of Attack Against Cruz: Amnesty

Dewhurst and the two super PACs supporting his campaign have spent millions attacking Cruz in the last few months. Up to this point, the anti-Cruz ads focused mainly on his legal work representing a Chinese tire company accused of stealing blueprints from an American. Throughout his campaign, Cruz has taken a hard line on immigration. Cruz endorsed TX Gov. Rick Perry's presidential campaign, but he criticized Perry's support of instate tuition for the children of illegal immigrants. The late timing of the attack gives Cruz, who lacks the unlimited financial strength of the largely self-funded Dewhurst campaign, little time to respond with paid media.
